As a result of the fact that we have a large number of highly qualified staff available, we are able to cover translations both in all subject areas, such as commerce, law and technology, and also in all languages.

Specialist translations
Knowing a language is not enough to be able to translate a wide range of subject matter from one language into another. Special knowledge of various subject areas is also essential.
This is why we work with lots of translators in each language or with bilingual translators who only translate texts in their specialist subject area (and) into their mother tongue.

Technology
The translators, many of whom are graduate engineers, technicians, scientists, etc. are involved in the development of technological progress every day of their lives and are therefore always up to date with the latest terminology. They translate into a language that keeps up with the pace of technology and is understood by the specialists in the field.
For texts concerning electrical engineering and electronics, computer science (hardware and software), information and communication technology, mechanical engineering or automotive engineering, sanitary, heating and air conditioning systems, measurement, control and regulation systems, chemical, plastics and environmental engineering, medicine and pharmacology, to name but a few, we use competent translators who have the appropriate specialist knowledge. Perfect translations are therefore required more than ever before in this widely varying area. Our staff includes mathematicians, medical experts, pharmacologists, etc. who can translation scientific papers of all types into their mother tongue.

In the publicity sector, translation means "effective adaptation into the foreign language". The aim is to attract consumers within the relevant target group and to convince them of the quality of the product concerned.
In the production of publicity messages in foreign languages we work with knowledgeable writers and publicity specialists who know the country, the people and their mentality and adapt the original message "to create it a second time". This includes image brochures, catalogues, brochures, advertisements or complete advertising campaigns, for example for exhibitions.

Trade
For several years we have also been assisting several large department store and trading company chains, as well as DIY and garden centres in their weekly and monthly publicity campaigns in other countries, particularly in the border regions of neighbouring countries to the Federal Republic of Germany. We translate all the German texts in the German copies of catalogues, flyers, supplements in daily newspapers, etc. into the relevant foreign languages, undertake the full language exchange in the layout (with the appropriate modifications since other languages generally have a 10 - 20% large volume) and convert prices into the national currencies of the target countries using an exchange rate specified by the customer. Since these projects are almost always "super urgent", we often work at weekends and late into the night by prior agreement with the customer.


Certified translations

Certified translations are very important, particularly for export business and foreign contacts. We will legalise the translations of all your documents, such as extracts from commercial registers, Registry office documents and articles of association, and can also supply them including additional certifications from the relevant consulates or embassies.

Prices, delivery deadlines

We offer our customers excellent value for money. This is one of the reasons why we only produce quotations on the basis of the actual document that requires translation. This means that the customer does not pay any more than required for the actual work completed.
Übersetzungsbüro Dr. Feix offers a guarantee to its customers that it will meet all the deadlines it agrees.

Terminology databases/glossary

Customers that have concluded a blanket agreement with Übersetzungsbüro Dr. Feix and whose annual turnover exceeds € 50,000.00 are supplied with a glossary in the translated languages at cost price.
Other customers can also request the production of a terminology database based on past translations on favourable terms.

Foreign language typesetting

In partnership with out own typesetting business, high quality advertising agencies and local printers or institutions recommended by the customer we can offer a complete service from a single source. To order we can supply the customer with foreign language proofs with internal quality controls preventing hyphenation and translation errors. The result is a proof in the required target language that is ready for printing.
Since the layout is available on data media with all the images, drawings, diagrams, etc. subsequent amendments can be completed with ease without having to reproduce the complete layout.

Asian languages

A special team is responsible for translations into Asian languages, such as Chinese (both for Taiwan and Singapore and for continental Chain), Japanese and Korean, and also for their subsequent integration into printing proofs or in HTML format.

Interpreting

Our interpreters are not only masters of the source and target languages and the subject area, they also understand many dialects and have a wide range of general knowledge.
