Services
We offer our customers excellent translation quality, prompt delivery,
translations supplied on data media (diskette, CD, optical disk,
JAZ, ZIP and SyQuest disk) in all conventional word processing program
formats for PC or Macintosh and to order we can provide a complete
service, in other words we will supply printing proofs in the foreign
language on data media or by ISDN (Leonardo/Fritz).
Übersetzungsbüro Dr. Feix offers a guarantee to its customers
that it will meet all the deadlines it agrees.
Certified translations
Our in-house team of translators and interpreters are qualified
for producing sworn translations of six Western European languages
and Russian. We also have competent staff available for many other
languages, including less common ones.
Data exchange
Many of our customers now send us their documents (including photographs,
drawings, tables, model plates, etc.) by data exchange (ISDN or
e-mail) and we return the documents or the required foreign language
texts ready for printing in the same way back to the customer, the
typesetters or printers, a method that often represents an ideal
solution in view of the fact that very short deadlines are often
involved.
Personal contact
Visits to our customers for discussing major projects or exhibition
promotions are by no means a rarity for us because we believe that
personal contact is a basic necessity for a good, successful working
relationship.
Latest hardware and software
In our work we use the very latest hardware and software. On PC
our standard work platform is Microsoft Office, Word Perfect, etc.,
whilst we can also edit Apple Macintosh files in Word, QuarkXPress,
Pagemaker, Adobe Illustrator, Freehand and InDesign. To order we
can also use a translation memory system (Trados Translator's Workbench).
We use fax and data transfer (ISDN or e-mail) to transfer data between
ourselves and our customers (or typesetting companies, publicity
agencies, printers, etc.) quickly and promptly.
Confidentiality
All the documentation sent to our office, regardless of its content,
is treated in the strictest confidence during its translation into
and out of all foreign languages and during any other work on it
(for example layout, price conversion into foreign currencies, etc.)
as well as when it is archived. We will also confirm this to our
customers separately on request.
